Running Power is Here! A New Way to Train with Athletica

Hello Reader,

Some news on our latest release. If you use a running power meter like Stryd, Athletica now offers power-based training prescriptions—giving you another way to personalize your training.

🔹 What’s New?

Power-Based Training: If you prefer to train with power, you can now switch your training prescription from pace to power in your Profile settings. You'll also need to enter your critical running power to enable this (see point 2 following).

Dynamic Power Zones: Your power zones are now visible on your Overview page. These can be manually or automatically updated as your fitness evolves.

Precision in Your Workouts: Hover over the running power icon in your training plan to see your prescribed power.

For those using running power meters, this feature helps maintain consistent efforts across hilly terrain, such as that experienced with ultra-running and certain triathlon events—ensuring smarter pacing and optimized energy use.

🚀 Want to Learn More? Read our latest blog on running power to see how power-based training can fit into your approach.

This update is entirely optional, so if you prefer training by pace, nothing changes for you. But for those who like to track power, we’re excited to offer this new way to optimize your training.

If you have any questions or feedback, please add to the discussion in our Forum.

Train smarter. Race stronger.
